We've arrived

Mostly intact, temporarily missing a stroller but we're here! The ground still feels like it is going up and down and my head it too full to even start with how we're feeling but the important thing right now is that our phones don't work! Anyone who called or texted us from about 10pm last night, sorry but we didn't get them and we won't now. I'll let y'all know by email when we have new numbers set up but for now stick with email etc.

Marty was an absolute trooper and took the whole trip, delays, lost bags and all, so much better than his poor tired mummies. We've done little more than shower, eat, and walk down to the ocean but that's plenty for now. My heart is still a little on the broken side but we'll find a way to make Tassie home again - and that doesn't change that fact that Texas will always be home too. We're danged lucky to have such amazing friends over the globe.

Were so relieved that you have arrived safely, and hope the stroller turns up soon as you will be needing that.

Good to hear your voices and I know how broken hearted you all must feel, being apart from Texan friends who have welcomed you so openly and been such an amazing part of your lives, when you had so many ups and downs. Thank God for Skype.

Hugs,

Welcome Home!!! That was what my text said at about 1pm : ) Glad you're here safe and sound, and so glad to hear that Marty made the trip that bit more bearable for you. Love to the three of you. Love Britt.

Welcome back kids! Hope some sleep has eased your heavy hearts. There are lots of us in Tas who love you too! If you want to catch up on some good Tassie craft, 'the market' is on at the Masonic Temple (Sandy Bay Road) tomorrow (Sunday) from 10 - 4pm. It's their first b'day celebration so it's sure to be a good one. Also, Where the Wild Things Are is out on DVD if you need something to watch (not sure if you've seen it). Catch up on that rest and take it easy! B & C xox

Well done! Amazing that you managed to blog along the way, even in the air! Marty seems to be a model son :-) Take it easy, and don`t expect to have your heads back straight in another week or two ...it takes longer when you have kids and can`t sleep as much as you want ...I can`t wait to see some Tasm pics, but I promise to be patient ;-)

Goody gum drops!

I am the lucky shopper to meet Jo and Marty Roo in the supermarket today!

Well he is a gorgeous boy, with lovely squeezeworthy legs and a beautiful head to kiss!

Welcome home. Having done a few long hauls with kids I commend you on your admiral feat.

Looking forward to catching up when the dust settles.

much love to you all. I have the feeling that i will understand your feeling of being torn between to places. I am in denial of missing this place when i leave in 7 weeks. it will of course be the people who have became such good friends. I am lucky to have you to see when i get back to make the heart a little less heavy. step by step day by day you will have a place that is home again soon. xoxoxo

I'm glad the trip went well! It's funny how the kids handle travel better than the grownups, but then, what does he care about delays and luggage? He's with his mummies, that's all he needs.

We miss you here in Texas! I'll send y'all a picture of Sam eating the Ethiopian meal he and I cooked yesterday. You would like it!
