I wish it was like that here, freezing, and we will be here to get it all while all our friends are heading North. Oh well, pull out the winter woolies and shiver.
You think you are astonished by the weather? It has been un-seasonably sunny and warm up here! This is not par-for-the-course Pacific Northwest May-June weather! There has actually been enough sun these past couple of months that I have a bit of a tan. Me! That never happens!
We only have another week or so before the days gradually start to lengthen again. But thanks to the thermal capacity of water I guess we still have the worst of winter to come.
But you couldn't call Tassie winters really bad on a global scale.

Big A - America, the God fearing country that it is, uses Pagan seasons so Summer begins on solstice. Go figure...
